UML, in fact, has a number of constraints available, so in that context, the dashed line would be labeled XOR. Since this is the only constraint used in an entity/relationship model, however, the label can be left off.

The last section notwithstanding, there are some elements of UML that, while not present in standard entity/relationship models, can add information, and therefore can be used to advantage. These are enumeration, computed attributes, and packages.
