The next notation was originally developed during the 1980s by Harry Ellis and Richard Barker, of the British consulting company CACI. Among other things, it is part of the European methodology, Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method (SSADM). After a decade of use by the consulting company, CACI, and Oracle Corporation, it was published by Mr. Barker,[84] and adopted by the Oracle Corporation for its CASE*Method (subsequently renamed the Custom Development Method[85]). Figure B-7 shows our example as represented in this notation.
