The change challenge
There can't have been many periods in our lives where everyone we know was embarking on a journey through the Kübler‐Ross Change Curve®1 (Figure 4.1) at exactly the same time. However, from March 2020 it appeared that the vast majority of the people found themselves, to one degree or another, at the top of this model. (I agree the pandemic isn't the only challenge in town, but it's probably worth a mention even if it's worded specifically as a metaphor.)
