Chapter 4. Post-Deployment Challenges
The deployment process consists of three main stages: pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment. Each stage has its own unique challenges and is important to understanding what service members go through. However, the post-deployment process and associated problems will likely provide the educator with the most useful information for working with the veteran student. It is in this phase that the veteran will be entering the classroom. And if the veteran is dealing with significant problems, the problems will most likely spill over into the classroom.
