Breaking down the library walls: responding to the needs of the Google generation

Abstract:

Changes in technology and availability of information online bring both challenges and opportunities. How can librarians change their practice and respond to the needs of a generation who have grown up with the Internet? This chapter presents two case studies focusing on initiatives to break down some of the barriers students face in developing information literacy.
