Introduction

As described in Chapter 2, emergency supply chains merit their own framework due to their differences from commercial supply chains. One of the main differences is the concept that emergency supply chains are born out of emergencies, and the amount of change in the emergency supply chain from its pre-emergency state is considerable. Part one of this chapter describes some of the changes the military supply chain has to make to execute the military expedition supply chain.
