Chapter 5. Storage management
In this chapter, we discuss the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager product set as it
relates to the protection of your orchestrated storage environment. Features that
include the ability to back up and restore, archive and retrieve, and more
efficiently use direct access storage by migrating seldom utilized data to a
different medium will be explained.
We also discuss the newly introduced IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Data
Retention, a powerful and robust solution that facilitates data retention for
regulatory and litigious requirements.
