About the Author

Peter Nelson is an Australian economist and accountant with legal training who has run his own chartered accounting firm and an international consulting company first registered in 1964. During that time, he has worked for commercial companies, as well as for all major donors, in 52 countries, having also run the EU’s then largest project across China. With a focus on the World Bank, Asian Development, and EU ­projects, his specialty has been on economic restructuring, which has taken him through most of Africa and Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Pacific.
