Security Policies
Since the advent of the Internet, most organizations have placed an increasing priority on security. You learned about implementing security measures in your system in Chapter 13, “Implementing System Security.” Security policies establish the goals and guidelines for your organization's security in a formal document.
In addition to describing system and network security, these policies also define proper user behavior, which is as important to overall system security as any system configuration. The information in this section of the chapter provides a brief overview of drafting and implementing a security policy, but the topic is much too broad and complex to cover in a single chapter in this book.
