Interviews and Personas – Best Practices for Quick and Efficient User Understanding

Understanding the ask from business stakeholders and new goals while considering problems from the bottom up is critical to a successful analytics project outcome. Any project that proceeds merely from the top down is likely to fail because the challenges of the users aren’t considered.

Likewise, just working toward fixing user problems without input from the business and understanding company objectives is just as risky. While we do need to address the pain points; we can’t do it in a vacuum. We must take these problems to the business in a way that they see the impact and results of current situations and the increased risk of not fixing the problems.
