REASON AND MORALITY

When we think in terms of an obligation to visit the sick, this is an obligation that is universally held, and it helps Kant question notions of moral relativism because it is important to recognise that this is an obligation that flows from reason. It is an objective matter which can be decided as a matter of reason, rather than left as a matter of individual opinion.
