At this point, we have loaded the data into the R environment. This is the first major step, but we do not know much about this data yet. We will begin to gain initial understanding through some instructions to summarize the information.
Deliberately, we have left graphic versions for a later section of the chapter. In this section, the examples that we will do to return numbers and text; which, by the way are equally important tools as compared to their graphic expressions.
As a first step, directly from the console of R, we can begin verifying the basic features of the Iris dataset that we just loaded, for example its size:
