As stated earlier, diversity and inclusion efforts need to be company-wide; recruiters and talent acquisition teams are often at the forefront of this effort. Many times, they get the blame if diversity isn't growing at the rate desired by the leadership team. Recruiters are individuals who work to fill job openings in businesses or organizations. Their job requirements typically include reviewing candidates' job experiences, negotiating salaries, and placing candidates in agreeable employment positions. The talent acquisition team is responsible for finding, acquiring, assessing, and hiring candidates to fill the roles that are required to meet company goals and fill project requirements. Talent acquisition professionals are usually skilled not only in sourcing tactics, candidate assessment, and compliance and hiring standards, but also in employment branding practices and corporate hiring initiatives. Recruitment is about filling vacancies. Talent acquisition is an ongoing strategy to find specialists, leaders, or future executives for your company.
