To be prepared in the event of litigation, investigations, or audits, organizations must be able to prevent the destruction of pertinent records. Destruction can happen during records disposition, or it can be manually initiated by a Records Manager. By placing records on hold, the Records Administrator can ensure that they are not destroyed.
