Windows 7 comes with a variety of onboard applications that, in some cases, have evolved from previous versions; in other cases, they are brand new.
In this chapter, you will learn about the various applications that have been Windows staples over the years (such as WordPad) and have perhaps been given a bit of an overhaul. We will also consider newer applications (as in the case of the Snipping Tool, released in Windows Vista) and see how all of these tools work together.
