Purchasing and Downloading Music from URGE

New to Windows Media Player 11 is a built-in association with a new online music service called URGE. URGE is a joint venture between Microsoft and MTV Networks (MTV, VH1, and CMT) and features a ton of music for purchase and download.

You access the URGE service, shown in Figure 43, by clicking the URGE tab in Windows Media Player. Alternatively, you can go to specific pages on the URGE site (such as Playlists, Charts, Radio, and so on) by clicking a view under the URGE item in the Navigation page; you can also sign in directly to URGE by clicking the Sign In button at the top of the WMP window.
