Overview

Medicine and health are becoming more digitized and, just as with TV, the views of the individual are in spectacular high-definition (HD). In his book, The Creative Destruction of Medicine, Eric Topol states that the “creative destruction of medicine is ready to go. It is because for the first time in history we can digitize humans.”1 The digitized data, representing a variety of types and coming from multiple sources, is the high-octane fuel for achieving highly effective and individualized prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases through analytics.
