4.1 Introduction

This chapter will break down the UX elements that define the spatial nature of XR. It will look at the evolution of the 3D design space, its unique characteristics and features, to review the potential UX challenges by empathizing with the user. The chapter will narrow down a strategy to apply UX design techniques to a digital XR product, taking into account the 3D object characteristics of its components as well as considering the importance of mindful design for its long-term success.
