Automation comes in different flavors. Simple recorded macros, for instance, can be used to eliminate the drudgery of repetitive tasks. Even keyboard shortcuts are a form of automation. However, when messages start popping up while you open or close a file or because you forget to make backups, the word automation takes on a new meaning.
