Several software companies have stepped up to Vegas and written plug-ins for the product. The tools that come with Vegas provide a wide variety of additional expressions and emotions for editors in Vegas; however, these plug-ins give editors far more arrows for their bows as well as a feel and capabilities that the standard Vegas filters and effects don’t provide. Pixelan Software, Boris FX, Red Giant, NewBlue, ProDad, and VASST are just some of the companies that have released powerful tools for Vegas, and demos of some of these products are found on the DVD that accompanies this book.
