Abstract: Aggressive speech acts are constituted by an interrelation between the interacting partners who, through their utterances in certain contextual conditions, express (illocution) or stimulate (perlocution) aggression. In this sense, aggression is a social phenomenon, and the present essay tries to pragmalinguistically grasp the socially conditioned nature of verbal aggression by means of Austin’s two categories mentioned before.
