Muscle Man Backpack Attack

Welcome to the backpack chapter. What does that mean, you wonder? It means you’re going to learn about storing things in a BASIC program. This goes along with the previous chapter. Remember Cannonball Carl? That game used an array to keep track of the castle blocks, which we described in a level using DATA statements.

The castle was built with blocks sort of like LEGOs. That’s a very important thing to learn about video games, because almost all of them work this way. There are some things in the Cannonball Carl game that will be explained a little better in this chapter as you make a game called Muscle Man Backpack Attack.
