I’m a shooter. It’s what I do. Like breathing. So, after almost three decades of crashing a viewfinder to my face, I’ve developed an intimate relationship with my craft – one built understandably on the power of my images to tell compelling stories.
So, it is perhaps ironic that I’ve acquired the awareness that no matter how fabulous my leading lady may appear or how sinister the Mafioso capo from Staten Island might look on screen, the lack of clean audio will instantly torpedo the storytelling and drive the audience from their seats. Every shooter must know and be keenly aware: audiences will tolerate bad picture but NEVER bad sound!
