Foreword

We have evolved into a speedy society. The technology we invent, market and sell makes it possible for us to send, receive, and participate with minimal downtime. We continue to pursue and perfect technology in our ongoing effort to satisfy our craving for immediacy and speed. This is not a bad thing, because we have become more efficient. Business moves faster, and everyone, it seems, is ahead of the curve.

Not too many years ago, we took great comfort in knowing that a business letter could be mailed and would arrive later in the week. Now we want it overnight. We even jokingly refer to regular mail as “snail mail.”
