Discussions are a great way to create a shared experience during your presentation by getting audience members truly involved. Most experienced presenters know that discussions look deceptively easy. In truth, they are anything but. Since you are not physically present in a virtual presentation, you lack the element of control that someone who is there in person has in reining in a discussion. This is not an insurmountable problem, though; your relative distance in the virtual world just means that you need to hold the reins a bit tighter.
