Considering Server Role Virtualization Workload

Given the multiple server roles for SharePoint, you must consider each server workload characteristic individually. Some roles will be extremely disk I/O bound, whereas other roles will be CPU bound. Some roles will place heavy demands on all of your server resources such as CPU, memory, network, and disk.
