Considering Server Role Virtualization Workload

Given the multiple server roles for SharePoint, you must consider each server workload characteristic individually. Some roles will be extremely disk I/O bound, whereas other roles will be CPU bound. Some roles will place heavy demands on all of your server resources such as CPU, memory, network, and disk. Because of the diverse resource requirements for each server role, we will talk about each server role separately and the considerations for virtualizing each SharePoint server role.
