Exporting Settings
Synchronized settings provide an improved experience which not only allows to share settings across multiple installations, but that also allows restoring settings in case you uninstall Visual Studio and reinstall it later. In fact, when you first install Visual Studio, settings are applied once you sign in. However, using the Microsoft Account requires an Internet connection; also, you might want to store a copy of your settings on disk. Visual Studio allows exporting settings to disk by selecting the Tools, Import and Export Settings command. This launches the Import and Export Settings Wizard. The first dialog box is shown in Figure 52.16.
