Appendix B. Win32 API-to-Namespace Cross-Reference
The Win32 API-to-Framework Class Library Namespace Cross-Reference is intended to provide readers who are familiar with the API a place to look up API calls for a managed code equivalent. This is in no way intended to be a complete cross-reference. Instead, it is another tool to help you as you transition your coding practice to .NET. In some cases, we are able only to point you to a similar namespace or function because not all Win32 functions have a one-to-one FCL equivalent. We've placed a dash next to those Win32 APIs for which we could not find FCL equivalents. That does not mean there isn't one—we simply didn't find it.
