Taking advantage of CSS editor improvements

Just as in the HTML editor we looked at in the previous recipe, the Visual Studio 2012 mechanics gave the CSS editor a grease and oil change; and then added a sports exhaust, better suspension, and xenon headlights.

In this recipe we'll take a look at these improvements by tweaking the default CSS of a web project.

Getting ready

Simply start Visual Studio 2012 and you're ready to go.

How to do it...

  1. Create a new ASP.NET Web Forms Application project in C#.
  2. Open the Content\Site.css file.
  3. Move your cursor to the hex color value in the background-color element of the html style and press Ctrl+Space to activate the CSS Color Picker as shown in the following screenshot:
