Choosing the right solution
Fortunately, with View, both persistent and nonpersistent vDesktops can be tested side by side, to see what works best with an organization's requirements. However, when designing a solution for an organization, some guidelines must be followed to help choose between persistent or nonpersistent vDesktops. The following are some questions with their suggested (not necessarily only) solution type. The suggestions assume that you will answer yes to the questions:
- Will users be installing their own native applications or a third-party solution? Persistent.
- Does the environment support a large percentage of shift workers? Nonpersistent.
