Chapter 15. User and License Administration
This chapter introduces the security and license management using the VI SDK. It first discusses the operation privileges, roles, and permissions as the model for access control. The managed object involved is the AuthorizationManager. It then moves on how to manage users (groups) in the hypervisor, how to look up existing users, and so on. This chapter then covers the user session management using SessionManager.
The last part of this chapter introduces the license management and related concepts like feature and edition, and how to use the provided VI SDK to configure and query licensing information.
