In datacenter networking, design is broken into two parts; these are virtual and physical networking considerations. If storage is the heart of VMware vDC design, then networking is the arteries. Virtual networking is critically important in order for your virtual infrastructure to operate and function. Your physical network infrastructure needs to be built on top of the requirements that your underlying virtual infrastructure will call for. We'll discuss how your virtual requirements can help determine what physical infrastructure will support it.
