When monitoring multiple ESXi hosts, accessing esxtop using SSH can be very time consuming if you need to enable SSH every time for every ESXi host. There are also alternative ways to access esxtop remotely, we will focus on them in this section.
At the beginning of this chapter, you already learned about resxtop, which is a remote flavor of esxtop. Being a part of vCLI on Linux, we can use it to access esxtop on remote ESXi hosts. In comparison with using esxtop over DCUI or SSH, this can save a lot of time.
