In previous chapters, we already learned about the role of VMware Tools when talking about performance and scalability. To repeat it, we need to run the latest version of VMware Tools in VMs to ensure the following things:

  • The guest operating system utilizes the latest drivers (for example, VMXNET3 and PVSCSI)
