Being Invited Is Not the Same as Being Included

The previous few chapters highlighted the relationship between leadership and workplace culture with a healthy result and an unhealthy result. At face value, it can be difficult to spot when unhealthy markers are taking hold. Even when organizations attempt to do the right thing, if a healthy foundation has not been set, the results can feel transactional and damaging. As you’ll see in this example, sometimes what is damaging to one person can be inspiring to another.
