General Syntax

The following syntax tips present some general syntax rules:

  • All WML tags must be enclosed in the brackets (< >).

  • WML elements must follow the open brackets directly without spaces— Tabs, blanks, carriage returns, and line feeds are treated as spaces.

  • WML is (in comparison to HTML and other markup languages) case sensitive— All WML elements must be in lowercase. Thus, <tag> is the correct syntax for a WML element, whereas <TAG> is an incorrect syntax and will ...
