Now that you’ve seen a preview of what WMLScript can do and how to reference WMLScript from a WML file, let’s backtrack a moment and look at the syntax of the WMLScript language.

WMLSCRIPT SYNTAX

If you recall from Chapter 3, "The Wireless Markup Language (WML)," syntax is nothing more than the required structure of a programming language. For a programming language’s code to work correctly, it must first be in a required format. All languages, whether they’re spoken languages or programming languages, require structure.
