The most common question that I’m asked from those who have painted with me for a while is “How do I find my own style?” It’s so common, in fact, that it was a priority to make sure this chapter was included! I’ll present a process of how you can come close to finding something that’s uniquely yours, but I need to preface this by acknowledging two things. Number one, there is no set time frame of when you “should” have your own style. Personally, it took me years to develop, whereas there are some artists that are able to jump into creating with a very clear understanding of who and what they want to do.
