This new way of leading yourself, or BOSSing yourself, is grounded in becoming the leaders that we are. Becoming this leader, and expressing the qualities of self-leadership, contributes to the evolution of panarchy. The components of self-leadership are the same as those found in the qualities of emotional intelligence, also known as emotional quotient (EQ). Studies show that while few corporate leaders possess a strong EQ, this form of intelligence in leaders contributes to the job satisfaction of everyone in the organization, boosts productivity, and positively impacts the bottom line.
