Possibility or Delusion
It was April 2020 in Singapore, but still March in the United States for another hour, when I was on a video call with Ping Soon Kok and Jason Bay of GovTech Singapore.1 Kok, Bay, and colleagues in Singapore’s government-technology agency, along with their counterparts at Singapore’s Ministry of Health, were leading the unfolding effort behind TraceTogether—an app that used Bluetooth technologies in smartphones to support community-driven contact tracing to slow the spread of Covid-19.
