Chapter 3. Additional Server Configuration

Your server now has cPanel and WHM installed, and is at least minimally configured. In this chapter, we will take the configuration further in our quest for getting our server ready for paying customers (or our own websites). We will explore:

  • The root WHM interface and how to navigate it
  • How to choose a cPanel/WHM build track
  • Setting your server's hostname, time, and date, as well as other important settings
  • Setting up additional services and hardware
