But that's not to say the Internet isn't useful. Recently I scratched my eye. After a trip to the doctor and a couple of days of wearing a very chic eyepatch, I got online and researched eye scratches. I discovered what causes them, how they are treated, and how to avoid them in the future. In other words, I used the Internet to support a trip to the doctor by getting additional information that the doctor didn't have time to give me and in some cases that I didn't know enough to ask.
