2.1. The E-Speak Service Engine
The e-Speak service engine is the software component of the e-Speak architecture. It provides the development and deployment environment for the services. The engine consists of:
Logical Machine: a platform abstraction for service runtime environment
Resource: A component-based representation of a service
Interaction Mechanisms: The application programming interfaces (APIs) for service discovery and invocation
Figure 2.2 depicts the relationship among these components.
