Chapter 3. Scenario 2: Working with a new configuration 97
3. Generate the customization jobs and follow the generated instructions to
create the Deployment Manager server.
3.4.1 Installing WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation
V5.1 for z/OS on the deployment manager server
After you create the deployment manager server and verify it as functioning
correctly, install the WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation V5.1 for
z/OS components to the deployment manager server. Use the following steps:
1. Start the WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation V5.1 for z/OS
customization window by executing the BBOWSTRT CLIST as described in
“Creating a base server” on page 80. Note the use of the prod(bbz)
parameter.
See also 2.3.1, “Starting the BBOWSTRT program” on page 34 for an
example.
2. From the customization window, type 6 in the Option field. The Add-On
Product Configuration menu will be displayed. See Figure 2-5 on page 35.
3. Select option 1 to start configure WebSphere Business Integration Server
Foundation V5.1 for z/OS.
4. In the Option field, type 2 for Define variables.
5. In the Option field, type 1 for System Locations.
For this scenario, we install the WebSphere Business Integration Server
Foundation V5.1 for z/OS components into the deployment manager server
which does not have security enabled. See Figure 3-11 on page 98.
a. Ensure the server home directory is set to the deployment manager
directory.
b. Specify the Install type: 3
c. Clear the Target server field.
d. Specify Security is enabled: N
Note: We skipped the BBODCFS job because we use the same zFS file
system to contain the deployment manager’s configuration data. However, a
separate file system could also have been used to contain the deployment
manager’s configuration data.
