Try to imagine Martin Luther King Jr. delivering his “I have a dream” speech using computerized graphics. There he is on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963, delivering his stirring speech for racial equality to a crowd of thousands. He turns away from his audience, faces the screen, clutches a remote mouse, and advances his laptop to display dozens of snazzy slides illustrating his strongest points. The visuals are complete with richly colored bar charts and graphs, bullet points, creative animation, and even sound effects.
