The proportions of an object, or of a surface’s dimensions, and of those between two or more relating objects within a space itself, are also known to affect how we feel and what we experience in a space.

The simple act of repeating shapes within a composition is seen to improve judgements of ‘liking’ through improved visual fluency. The complexity or simplicity of the composition, and its positive or negative content, are known to require consideration in application. An initially displeasing shape, or theme content, can be seen after repeated exposure as attractive.
