As quoted by many a wise person, there is no survival value to friendship but the reason to survive. And so with art. You can survive and do reasonably well in living a life in an interior with no art, but at some point there is no purpose to it, and that’s where the purpose of art comes in, so to speak, for the interior. It is the point at which an interior space is not just being less mean but actually adding value to people’s life for the sake of flourishing.
