Breastfeeding – the best diet for you and your baby

Just because your baby has been born, it doesn’t mean you can stop thinking about healthy eating. If you’ve chosen not to breastfeed or if it hasn’t been possible, a balanced diet is important to help your body recover from all the work it’s been doing and to replenish the nutrient stores lost during pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding, it is even more important, as the food you eat now will affect the growth and development of your baby. Also, before you know it, your little one will be eating proper food, and if you have good eating habits there’s a much better chance that he or she will follow suit.
