Synopsis

Configures Client Service for NetWare.

To Launch

  • Start Settings Control Panel CSNW

  • Command interpreter control nwc.cpl

Description

CSNW is present only on Windows 2000 Professional computers on which the additional networking component, Client Service for NetWare, has been installed (see Network and Dial-up Connections in this chapter). CSNW allows Windows computers to directly access file and print resources on a Novell NetWare 2.x, 3.x, or 4.x server.

CSNW opens as a dialog box that allows you to configure a preferred NetWare server (if the NetWare server is using bindery security), the default tree and context for the connection (if the NetWare server is running NDS), and various logon script and print options.
