Creating a Backup Job
To launch Backup, choose Start→Accessories→System Tools→Backup. The welcome screen lets you launch the Backup Wizard, the Restore Wizard, or create an Emergency Repair Disk.
Using the Backup Wizard
Here's a complex example that shows off the Backup Wizard's long list of options:
Click the Backup Wizard button on the Backup program's Welcome screen.
A wizard Welcome window appears.
Click Next. Specify what you want to back up.
On the What To Back Up page, use the radio buttons to specify whether you want to back up everything on the computer; selected files, drives, or network data; or only the system-state data (see the sidebar below).
If you elect to back up the entire system or just the system state data, skip to Step 5.
